More, yes. Fewer, no. This trip takes 5 days from the start to finish. You can stay more if you want. However, the price is for five days only. Please contact us for more information if you plan on staying fewer or more than five days.

Remember that this is subject to availability and the hotel(s) may refuse to accept the extra nights if there is no room available. In this case, it is the traveler's responsibility to find accommodation.

Yes, all dates are available. However, certain dates may sell out well in advance (e.g. Christmas or Semana Santa) so get your ticket as soon as possible. Contact us if you have any questions.

No, there isn't any. You can choose to go alone or with a group however, if you travel alone, you will have to pay extra (see Prices). We recommend traveling with at least one more person to avoid this extra charge.

Yes, but we usually don't recommend it because

  1. being in a group is more fun
  2. there will be some additional charges if you are completely alone. For example, if you want to have a private room, then you will have to pay some extra for the private room (see Prices).

Otherwise, you may be put in a shared room with the other travelers you might not know and that will cause some logistical issues and the others might not agree to it. It's highly recommended to be at least 2 people together.

Deposit

All prices include a 30€ deposit which has to be paid to book your Morocco trip. You have to pay the deposit on the Studentfy website or the Studentfy mobile app.

For example, if the total price person is 230€ per person, you have to pay the 30€ deposit to reserve your trip. Then pay the remaining 200€ in Marrakech to the tour guide.

Confirmation Policy

You have to pay the 30€ deposit and then send us your information.

We will then review your details and finalize your trip. You will then the confirmation from us.

Cancellation Policy

The deposit is NOT refundable.

When you pay the deposit, you can choose any date you want (that is available). However, we cannot refund your deposit if you decide to cancel the trip. You can always change the date of your trip.

Itinerary

Day 1 is the arrival day. This is when the trip begins and you can arrive any time you want.

  • Pick up from the airport and getting to the hotel. Find the guide outside the airport holding a VIAJES EN MARRUECOS sign - if you don't see them, contact us.
  • Free time to explore the city on your own*
  • Dinner (not included in the price)
  • Accommodation in Marrakech (included)

*: You can go on your own to explore the city. You can also ask the guide if they offer any guided tours of the city (this is not included in the price and may or may not be possible)

Remember that you will have to pay the remaining (and extras if any) to the tour guide. They will let you know about it.

Day 2 is all about exploring the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages outside of Marrakech.

  • Wake up early and have breakfast in Marrakech (included)
  • Check out of the hotel
  • Head to the high Atlas Mountains
  • Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou where movies like the Game of Thrones, Prince of Persia, Jesus of Nazareth, and Gladiator were filmed
  • Stop for lunch (included)
  • Continue along the Thousand Kasbahs road passing through Berber villages to reach our destination, the Dades Valley
  • Dinner & accommodation at the Dades Valley (included)

Day 3 is all about the Sahara Desert.

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Departure to the Todra Gorges, known for being one of the most imposing rocky canyons in the country with over 300 meters in height
  • Continue our way until we reach the desert where we will change our mode of transportation: camels, to discover how nomads have traveled over the centuries
  • Stop to watch the sunset and we can do sandboarding
  • Upon arrival at the camp, an excellent mint tea and a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner will be waiting for you
  • Enjoy a unique and unforgettable night with Berber drum music, contemplating the immensity of the sky covered with a blanket of stars that populate the desert nights
  • Dinner and accommodation in the camp (included)

Day 4 is leaving the Sahara behind and heading back towards Marrakech.

  • Wake up early and watch the most fascinating sunrise on the sand dunes
  • Have Berber breakfast in the Desert
  • Head back to Marrakech
  • Arrive in Marrakech (usually around 19:30 / 07:30pm)
  • Dinner in Marrakech (not included)
  • Accommodation in Marrakech (included)

Day 5 is about exploring Marrakech with a guided tour. We recommend booking your departure in the late afternoon/evening so that you can join the tour and learn more about Marrakech.

  • Breakfast at the hotel/riad in Marrakech (included)
  • In the morning (between 9 am - 1 pm) we will have a guided tour to explore the city of Marrakech
  • We will start with the Koutoubia Minaret (13th century), sister of the Giralda in Seville, which is currently the lighthouse and spiritual center of Marrakech
  • Subsequently, we will visit the Bahia Palace (16th century), a symbol of aristocratic life in medieval Muslim times, where its ambassador's hall stands out, with its cedar wood ceiling
  • Then we will head to the “Jemaa el-Fna Square” declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site (starts around 09:00 and ends at 13:00)

Remember that the order or the availability of the activities may change depending on the time of arrival, number of visitors and the interests of the group. Doing some of the activities may not be possible due to weather conditions, some unforeseen events (for example, blocked access roads) or any other reason that we may not know in advance. Always consult with the tour guide.

Included in the price

  • Airport pick up and drop off: we pick you up from the airport (RAK) and drop you off whenever you need to leave

  • Transportation: we will explore Marrakech and the desert all in air-conditioned vans

  • Accommodation: 2 nights in a hotel, a night in a riad and another night in a Berber tent in the desert

  • 5 days/4 nights: you will be able to explore the Sahara Desert, the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech all in 5 days/4 nights

  • Breakfast: 4 breakfasts are included at the hotel

  • Dinner: 2 dinners will be provided. Give the local food a try

  • A night in a Berber tent: Spend a night in a Berber tent in the middle of the Saharra desert under the stars

  • Camel riding: Ride a camel across the Saharra desert (optional)

  • Sandboarding: You can go sandboarding on the sand dunes in the Saharra desert (sandboards will be provided)

  • Guided tour: You get to see the best of Marrakech during the tour*

* The guided tour isn't always possible and isn't always provided. If you arrive early in the morning, talk with the tour guide to see if it's possible to arrange it for your group. If you arrive late in the afternoon or evening, this will probably not be possible. Consult with the tour guide when you arrive.

Not included in the price

  • Flight: flight to and from Marrakech. You can fly in from anywhere in the world. Make sure you fly into RAK (Marrakech International Airport).

  • Extra nights: you can spend an extra night in Marrakech 60 for solo travelers per night, 30€ per person for groups per person per night

  • Upgrade to 4-star hotels (Kennedy Resort, or Riad Marrakech): 50€ for solo travelers per night, 30€ per person for groups per person per night

  • Anything else: if it's not mentioned under Included, it's not included
