El Gótico and El Born

La Plata

Born in 1945, they have been serving three essential tapas the fried whole anchovies, the tomato salad, onion and olive salad, and the ‘pintxo’ of ‘morcilla’ sausage. Good service, good food, and good wine!

This is a very typical bar for simple traditional tapas with an almost countryside atmosphere where you can always enjoy of good wine. It’s not easy to find but if you find yourself immersed in the Gothico pass by for a snack and a drink.

Ocaña

A beautiful spot at Plaza Real, Ocaña is the perfect mix of late-night partying with serious eating. Cafe, restaurant and bar in one, it switches up everything between a modern cafe, a tapas restaurant, a skillfully crafted cocktail bar, to a club with live music.

Whether you’re looking to have some drinks with friends near La Rambla, or sit down and eat after walking all day, or party like a Rockstar in an underground club they have it for you.

Bormuth

Located in the bohemian area of El Born, this friendly bar offers very good vermouth on tap, bottled cask beers and natural fruit cocktails alongside great some great traditional tapas.

Characterized by its wooden spaces, exposed brick walls and marble tables you can enjoy the atmosphere of the area of this friendly neighborhood.

Paradiso

Tucked away behind prohibition curtains in an inconspicuous pastrami sandwich joint, Paradiso is one of the top cocktail bars in Barcelona. Just make sure you arrive with patience as you’ll probably have to wait to get in due to limited seating.

From cocktails served in glass pipes to dry ice to being smoked in front of your eyes the creativity of the sophisticated bar really shines through. And guess what? The pastrami and smoked meats are delicious!

It’s is a modern and airy London-style venue by day it’s the perfect place to sip mixers on comfy couches. While office workers grab a coffee on the interior terrace, and hungover hostel dudes slouch over ottomans whilst tucking into recovery comfort food.

Monkey Factory

Amazing pub, really great atmosphere, can’t ask for better music or bar staff. Very well located in the middle of example it is always a good option to go for some drinks with some friends. Monkey Factory is an excellent place to get some drinks before going full on clubbing.
