1. Sutton Barcelona

Why you have to go

Sutton is the classiest club in the city, no question about it. If you are looking for a fancy place, don’t even think more. Sutton is the right place if you want to dress fancy, dance and have a great time. Wednesday and Thursday nights are more casual and Friday and Saturday nights are for the most stylish people.

Atmosphere

The club is located in Carrer de Tuset in the Upper Diagonal, a posh area in the city. It is well-equipped with lights, sound, smoke machine and other type of effects. Beautiful girls dancing, good music playing and drinks pouring.

The private VIP areas give you an exclusive experience. Order enough and the dancers would give you a private dance. The dress code is really strict especially on Friday and Saturday, no sneakers are allowed, and men have to show up in a shirt.

Music

In the main big dance area, they play the most popular commercial hits, while in the back zone, there is a smaller Latin room for those who would like to get a little bit close to each other and enjoy more Latin and reggaeton music.

Prices

The normal entry fee is about 20€, but luckily, you can enter for free every night until 3:30 with Studentfy (except for the nights when there is a special DJ or event).

The VIP tables start from 300€ and maximum 5 person can enter with 1 bottle, so if you are for example 8 people, you will have to purchase a 2nd bottle.

Yes, you read it right. From now on a Studentfy employee will ALWAYS be at the door in Sutton to make sure you have a STRESS-FREE entrance, without waiting in line (Thursday to Saturday, from 01:00 until 03:30).

How does it work?

  1. Bring your Studentfy Card / Or sign up to ur guest list on the App
  2. Respect the clubs dress code: Guys button shirt & dark shoes, girl’s elegant party outfit.
  3. Look for the person wearing the Studentfy ID at the door and tell him you are from Studentfy.

Remember, if you have the Studentfy Card, show it to the Studentfy representative so you can go in for free every night until 03:30 AM. Otherwise the Studentfy Guest List conditions will apply (Until 02:30 on weekdays, and 02:00 on Saturday).

2. La Fira

Why you have to go

La Fira is not a club like any other, this is the place where the magic happens. Here you get to meet people from all around the world trying to have a good time. If you are an international student, then La Fira might be the best place for you.

Note: there are 2 La Fira clubs in Barcelona: La Fira Provença and La Fira Villarroel.

Atmosphere

If you like commercial Latin music and a chilled club where you can enter with a t-shirt and sneakers on, where you can let your hair down and nobody would say anything to you at the door, then la Fira is your place.

With all the bizarre and antique fairground decoration, it has a very interesting and unique atmosphere. Overall, La Fira is a casual and laidback club ideal for spending time with friends, dancing and having a good time. You won’t find pretentious people here.

The best student party in Barcelona is called La Gozadera and it takes place every Thursday night at La Fira Provença. You can dance to the latest and hottest reggaeton, bachata and merengue songs.

If you love thematic parties, La Fira Villarroel throws the best thematic parties in town every Friday night. There is a different party every Friday night like Brazilian party, Argentinian party and Colombian party.

A huge plus in both La Firas is the Chupito (shot) Bar where you can get any shot you can think of from shots with fire and gummy bear to shots with Tabasco. If you feel brave enough, go for the a “Monica Lewinsky” shot.

Music

Latin commercial, if you want to lose yourself while listening the best latin hits, Carlos Vives, Marc Anthony, Maluma and the others, just want to enjoy the latin vibe, then you will have a memorable night at la fira.

La Fira Provenca: If you are on the guest list, the access is free Thursdays until 1:30, Friday and Saturday 14€ with 1 drink.

The price to enter to enter either La Fira is 14€ with one drink included in the price but if you are on a guest list. you can enter La Fira Provença for FREE and skip the line every Thursday night until 2:30 and enter La Fira Villarroel for FREE and skip the line every Friday night until 2:30 and every Saturday night until 2:00 only with the Studentfy card.

3. Bestial

Why you have to go

A restaurant by day, a club by night, the Bestial Beach Club is the only beach club in Barcelona, with a beautiful open-air garden. It is located on the Barceloneta Beach enjoying the fresh Mediterranean breeze. Bestial attracts international tourists and students who want to have a good time while not being trapped inside a closed-air club.

Studentfy in partnership with Barceloning organizes thematic parties and events like Mexican  Rosé and Brazilian parties every weekend at Bestial. 

Note: Bestial is open only as a restaurant between October and April.

Atmosphere

Bestial is famous for its R&B and reggaeton music events as well as their thematic parties and shows every Friday night. Enjoy the fresh Mediterranean air and a beautiful view of the sea in the company of so beautiful international crowd, no question, from May to September, this is the go-to place in Barcelona.

You mostly find Latin and commercial hits, reggaeton, salsa and some electronic music at Bestial.

4. Opium

Why you have to go

Opium is the place to catch the famous DJs like Whiz Khalifa, French Montana, Tiesto or Martin Garrix during the summer. Opium is located in Barceloneta with a view to the Mediterranean Sea and Barceloneta, the most famous beach in Barcelona.

If you want to experience the real craziness with thousands of foreigners around you, Opium is the place to be at in Barcelona.

Atmosphere

This venue is for people who like to see and be seen – high heels, designer labels and magnums of champagne are all part of the atmosphere at this exclusive club, which has attracted a few celebrities on occasion. Opium has a capacity of 3000 people and still manages to make it full almost every single day of the week.

As we mentioned, most of the most famous international DJs are used to play in Opium Barcelona during their summer tour, David Guetta, Tiesto, Avicii and Armin van Buuren regularly playing in Opium every summer. For this reason, there is no doubt that it is one of the best night clubs in Barcelona for EDM lovers.

If you are on the guest list,  you can enter for free before 2 o’clock on most nights. We recommend buying your entrance in advance on the Barceloning platform. You can get 2 drinks instead of 1 drink for just 20€. If you prefer a bottle, the prices start from 300€.

5. Pacha

Why you have to go

The Pacha club is definitely one of the most well-known clubs in Barcelona and it is a known name around the world. Along with Sutton and Opium, Pacha is definitely one of the best clubs in Barcelona especially if you love commercial music.

Atmosphere

Ibiza style clubbing in the purest form. Visitors are greeted by a sleek white interior and a stunning view over the beach. Located next to the Barceloneta beach, the club attracts a highly diverse and international crowd.

There is a huge dance area with go-go dancers, commercial music, gorgeous bartenders and a beautiful interior decor.

Music

Pacha Barcelona uses its worldwide brand to attract the best DJs from the current music scene to the city, just to mention some from the near past: Bob Sinclar, Robbie Rivera, and Claptone have all brought joy to crowds of party people in this amazing venue.

Prices

Most of the time, there are guest lists letting you enter to Pacha for free until 2 o’clock, although you can also pay 10€ to enter with 1 drink included, and the right to skip the line which is a big plus.

6. Otto Zutz

Why you have to go

Otto Zutz is one of the best hip hop and R&B club in town, with 3 different music options at 3 different floors, located in an old textiles factory.

Atmosphere

This is the place to come to feel Barcelona’s local party style.
Otto Zutz Club has a capacity of about 1000 people across three different dance floors, the DJs at Otto Zutz are all locals and known to be experts in their genres, you can meet with many Spanish youngster here, the average age is around 20-25. Could be a good option if you would like to avoid the international tourist groups, and meet with people from Barcelona.

Music

Hip-hop, R&B, and house classics and a latin room with the best reggaetón songs in the 2nd floor.

7. La Terrrazza

Why you have to go

La Terrrazza is another open-air club located on Montjuic. La Terrrazza is known for its concerts and world-famous DJs. The entire club is shaped like a castle and it’s very unique.

Atmosphere

This place has a really unique, happy vibe. Tell your friends back home you’re going to an open-air party at a nightclub in a castle and watch their jaws drop. The way inside is through the gates of Poble Espanyol, a model-village at Montjuic whose streets were built in various styles representing the architecture of each region of Spain.

Music

La Terrrazza is a rooftop nightclub playing mostly house and techno. It’s open throughout the summer season and is one of the main venues during the Sonár electronic music festival, which takes place in Barcelona each year.

8. Jamboree

Why you have to go

If hip-hop is your thing, Jamboree is your place. Located in the middle of Placa Reial next to the famous walking street “Las Ramblas” in the centre of Barcelona, Jamboree Dance Club is the oldest hip-hop music club in Spain. Open since the 1960s, lately they are also famous about their Live Jazz sessions.

Atmosphere

With brick walls and vaults has a lively vibe any day of the week and attracts a mixed crowd, combining an international audience with locals, which is why Jamboree has a really cosmopolitan atmosphere
Jamboree is open every night of the year and is always full (from March to October) and on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (from October to March), which leads us to recommend you arrive before 1 am if you don’t want to deal with a long queue. And, of course, get your pre-sale ticket on Xceed to ensure access. We also recommend that you dress comfortably. As long as you don’t wear unelegant sportswear or football shirts, you won’t have any problem.

Music

While Jamboree is among the best jazz clubs in the city (with live performances during the day), it’s also one of the hottest places for hip-hop and R&B. Funk lovers.The main style is hip-hop, along with r&b or other trends that are fashionable at the time. Right now, the main room is dedicated to hip-hop, r&b, and even the most underground reggaeton. In the 2nd room, music from the 80s and 90s is played, ranging from pop to rock.

From Sunday to Thursday there is free guest list with Studentfy.

9. Razzmatazz

Why you have to go

Razzmatazz is arguably Barcelona’s one and only super club. It has five different club spaces in one massive warehouse style building. You could go to this club, choose one room and feel like you’d been in your own club all night. Alternatively, you can take an adventure – get lost in the maze of pumping dance floors and confusing corridors.

Atmosphere

It’s located in Barcelona’s industrial urban district of Poblenou. Don’t be surprised if you lose all your friends within the labyrinth of rooms. On a weekend, access the entire complex made up of industrial factories on different levels, each with a separate DJ. Established in the year 2000, Sala Razzmatazz was the first club in Spain to schedule five different spaces. It opens every day of the week, and it is, without doubt, between the best 100 nightclubs in the world.

Music

Techno, electro and dubstep, a mixture of house, electropop, Indie, classic pop, you can find here everything. And then, of course, there’s the Rex Room, the venue’s main dance floor and live-music stage where time to time we can witness the best international artist in genres as pop, rock and electronic music such as Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris, Coldplay, Skrillex, The Strokes….

10. Sala Apolo

Why you have to go

Sala Apolo Barcelona is one of the historic venues in Barcelona. It used to be a bigger part of the Apolo Theater but it has now become a dance club. It is admittedly one of Barcelona’s most authentic nightclubs. 

If you like clubbing any nightof the week, then Sala Apolo might be the right place for you since they are open every single night. Their Nasty Mondays party is definitely one of the most known parties in the city.

Atmosphere

What you don’t see in Apolo, you don’t see anywhere. But security won’t be a problem for you. You dress the way you want. Comfort and dance are priorities.

Music

Every party has its own stipulated musical style. On Mondays, Nasty Mondays bets on hits, indie-rock and pop. When Crappy Tuesdays opens on Tuesday, it focuses on the purest indie sound, while Caníbal, on Wednesdays, focuses on the urban sounds of trap, dancehall, afrobeat and even reggaeton. The colorful Cupcake party on Thursdays is for those who love vintage pop hits, and on weekends, Nitsa Club is for electronic music lovers. The venue also hosts concerts by international bands.

The price ranges vary depending on the party and can range from €8 to €15, always with 1 drink included. Sala Apolo is one of the few clubs in Barcelona where they do not have free entry or guest list. You can buy your ticket directly on Sala Apolo‘s website.
